Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

Down Syndrome

A genetic disorder that occurs when a person has a partial or complete third copy of chromosome 21.

Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS)

A speech disorder in which a child has difficulty making accurate and consistent movements when speaking.

Speech Delay

When a child has difficulties making the sounds that become words. A challenge with the physical act of talking.

Speech Disorder

An impairment of the articulation of speech sound production, voice, resonance, or fluency (the flow of speech).

Language Delay

Difficulties understanding and/or using spoken language.

Language Disorder

Impaired comprehension and/or use of spoken, written, and/or other symbol systems.

Central Auditory Processing Disorder (CAPD)

Deficits in the neural processing of auditory information in the central auditory nervous system not due to high order language or cognition.
